Supplies:

1 skein Lion Brand Yarns Scarfie (color used (Forest/Black)

5 worsted, 5.3 oz, 312 yards 78% Acrylic 22% Wool

size I/9 5.5 MM hook

3 buttons of your choice

Tapestry needle

Special Stitch

Shell- 5 dc in stitch indicated.

Instructions:

Ch 45 sc.

Row 1: Insert hook 4th ch from hook.  Ch 3, 4 dc in same space.  *Skip 2 sc and sc in the next st.  Skip 2 and shell.*  Repeat until last stitch and shell in last chain. ( 8 shells made)

Row 2: Slip stitch in the first 2 dc.  *Shell in center (3rd dc) of shell from previous row. SCBP in sc.* repeat 7 times (8 shells made).

Row 3: Slip stitch in the first 2 dc.  *Shell in center (3rd dc) of shell from previous row. SCFP in sc*. repeat 7 times.

Row 4-50: repeat row 2 and 3.

Row 51: Slip stitch in the first 2 dc.  *Shell in center (3rd dc) of shell from previous row. SCFP in sc* repeat 4 more times.  +Dc in the next 2 dc, ch 2 ,skip dc, dc in the next dc.  SCFP in sc.+ repeat 2 more times. This creaters your 3 button holes.

Row 52: Ch 1, *sc in the first 2 dc, sc 2 times in the 2 ch sp, sc in the next 2 dc.  SCBP in sc.* repeat 2 times more.  +Sc in the next 5 dc, scbp in sc+ repeat until end and fasten off.  Weave ends

Place buttons on opppsite side of cowl, lining up with button holes, sew in buttons.
